Tinder, launched in 2012 and owned by Match Group, is the biggest mainstream name in dating apps, open to adults on iPhone, Android and the web. Its matching is built on swiping: you see a photo, swipe right if you like it, and if they swipe right too you can talk. Maga-Dating is a dating site for MAGA and conservative singles, with daily matches chosen on values, faith, distance and the kind of relationship you want. Tinder gives you the biggest crowd; Maga-Dating gives you a smaller one, made for conservatives.

What it feels like to be a conservative on each
Tinder's great strength is its size. With that many people on it, some will share your values. The challenge is finding them. Swiping is quick and photo-first, so politics usually stays hidden until you are already chatting, or sitting across a table. In October 2024 Tinder added stickers letting members show they would be voting and the issues they cared about, but we could not find a way to match on politics there.
Maga-Dating is made for conservatives from the start, so your politics are part of your profile rather than a surprise on the second date. We think that makes for a calmer, warmer way to date.
Casual swiping or something that lasts
Tinder has a general audience, so it can be hard to tell what someone wants. Maga-Dating members can say on their profile what they want, such as settling down, a steady partner, casual dating or friendship, and daily matches take that into account.
